ORTEC Seminar and Thermo - instrumentation and software |

We prepared a seminar for our customers from the Czech and Slovak Republics which was held at the ENVINET a.s. training center in Trebic on 23 and 24 June 2010.
The main topic of the seminar was the spectrometry of ionizing radiation. Various lectures were devoted both to instrumentation equipment for laboratory and field spectrometry and related software for analysis and evaluation of data. The practical part was devoted to the presentation of individual instruments (laboratory and mobile - portable spectrometric tracks including „pocket“ spectrometers).
Individual presentations were given by:

- Doc. Ing. Petr Sládek, CSc., UNOB Vyškov - field measurements
- Dipl. Ing. Detlef Peters, Sales Manager, Division Thermo RM&SI, EMEA - presentation of news
- Ing. Hana Chaloupková, ENVINET a.s. – Scientific Instruments Division, radiometry and radiochemistry specialist - Thermo hand-held spectrometers
- Ing. Josef Tecl, Ph.D., ENVINET a.s. - Scientific Instruments Division , spectrometry specialist - the instrumentation and presentation of ORTEC software (parameters, settings, control, function description)
- Václav Holeček, ENVINET a.s. – head of Detectors Technology Division - factual presentation of selected devices
- Ing. Eva Makovcová, ENVINET a.s. - Detectors Technology Division, head of commercial department – presentation of production of NaI(Tl) detectors and plastic scintillation detectors.
- Ing. Lukáš Skála, ENVINET a.s. – Project and Engineering Division, programmer-analyst - description of GamWin software and ORTEC open interface.
We prepare a similar workshop for next year (there will be discussed again professional topics in the field of spectrometry of ionizing radiation, radiometry and dosimetry).
