Brief Description

Design, project, software development and deployment of an automaton for object tightness measurement of the BMW E83-X3 headlight. The machine design is based on the Bosch assembly parts; manufactured components are made of stainless steel or hard aluminum. The pneumatic part consists of the Bosch and SMC parts. The machine is embedded with safety elements pursuant to ČSN technical standards and additional VDA standards for automotive industry.

Basic Functions

Measurements of the headlight tightness with automatic reconfiguration between the left and right version, check of the presence of six screws for fastening the glass, automatic check of the actual tightness using pre-adjusted gages, redirection of the nonconforming headlights to the so-called repair track.
